Notice regarding termination of acceptance of new applications and the end of the service

For the following service menu and items for KDDI Wide Area Virtual Switch, the services are no longer provided, and new applications and applications for changes for the services are no longer accepted as shown below.

Virtual Data Center Menu

As of March 31, 2016, the Virtual Desktop service is no longer provided.
As of February 1, 2016, new applications for the File Server/File Server Entry are no longer accepted.
As of June 9, 2014, new applications for the Virtual Server Platform are no longer accepted.
As of June 9, 2014, new applications and applications for changes for the TV Conference service are no longer accepted.
Customers who are currently using the service may continue to use it. For applications for changing settings and adding the capacity within your contract during use, contact a KDDI sales representative.

Part of Broadband II withF+

As of May 31, 2016, new applications for the FLET'S and ADSL items of withF+ are no longer accepted.
Customers who are currently using the service may continue to use it.

Part of Wireless access
  • As of April 30, 2015, new applications are no longer accepted for WiMAX Access and WiMAX Backup.
  • As of September 30, 2016, new applications will no longer be accepted for LTE Access and LTE Backup.
    As alternatives to these services, the wireless access method, WiMAX 2+/LTE Access, in the access menu and the access option, WiMAX 2+/LTE Backup, are available. Customers who are currently using the service may continue to use it.

Access option (IP Multicast function)

As of May 31, 2016, new applications and applications for changes for the L3 mode access option menu, IP Multicast Function, are no longer accepted.

"KDDI Wide Area Virtual Switch" is a new type of network service that responds to data-centric needs such as reducing management and operational burdens through system integration and centralized management, and implementing disaster measures and business continuity after disasters. Unlike conventional wide area Ethernet or IP-VPN services, it is a totally new concept in network services which virtually integrates multiple networks with different layers so that they can be used as one "wide area switch [1]", along with customer premises routers. KDDI Wide Area Virtual Switch offers a one-stop set of ICT services with functions and menus that provide simple solutions to customer issues, in response to the growing ICT needs of businesses aiming to concentrate and centralize information assets.
