Connection Types

Dial-in Connection

Dial-in connection is a standard connection type where the host and attendees call the nearest access number to hold a conference.
The contractor pays the conference fee and each attendee pays for the calling charges to the access point.
As no charge is incurred for domestic calls made through the KDDI Telephone Service [1] as well as au mobile phones via the KDDI Business Call Direct [2], it is recommended to use KDDI's services to take advantage of them.

Dial-out Connection

Dial-out connection is a connection type used when the host calls up the attendees.
The calling charges to the access point are included in the conference fee, which is paid by the contractor. Therefore, attendees do not need to pay calling charges.

Charged-to-destination Number Connection

Charged-to-destination number connection is a connection type where the attendees call the nearest access number to participate in a conference. Unlike dial-in connection, the calling charges to the access point are included in the conference fee, which is paid by the contractor. Therefore, attendees do not need to pay calling charges. This connection type is ideal for cases where calling charges should not be paid by the attendee, such as for meetings with a client.
