Earthquake-safe Up to a Seismic Intensity of 7 Plus a Full Array of Anti-Disaster/Fire Prevention Systems
The building housing the data center is a special seismic-resistant structure able to withstand an earthquake measuring up to an intensity of 7 on the Japanese seven-stage seismic scale. Moreover, KDDI has adopted VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection) systems in addition to sophisticated fire detection and suppression systems to ensure the fullest protection against fires.

Our data center boasts a direct connection to one of the largest capacity and fastest Internet backbones in Japan. In addition to high-speed connections to Japan's JPIX and dix-ie (formerly NSPIXP-2) and major IX in Europe and Japan, our infrastructure offers high-speed connection to major domestic and overseas ISPs. Also KDDI data center tenants have convenient access to an extensive menu of network services including IP-VPN, Ether-VPN, Frame Relay/Cell Relay, Leased Circuits, DOD, and Ether Access.

Total Redundancy from Non-stop Environmental Control to Uninterruptible Power Systems
KDDI gave much thought to our power and environmental system redundancy and has provided backup and capacity that is more than ample to meet the needs of the most demanding large-scale server user. In the event of any general power failure, our uninterruptible power system (UPS) and in-house emergency generators are ready to step in and provide uninterrupted backup.
Protection by Robust 24x7 Security and Surveillance
Physical access tightly controlled by surveillance cameras and IC-card controlled entry, locked access to racks and cages, and human surveillance by dedicated staff on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - KDDI has adopted the most rigorous security systems to ensure the protection of your systems. In addition, all entry and exit from the facility is controlled according to strictly enforced procedures requiring pre-visit applications, registration and recording.
