SatWeb-28 service is a unique Internet connection service originally developed and provided by KDDI. Thanks to the quality of Internet access via Inmarsat realized by technologies incorporated in this service, SatWeb-28 users can enjoy web browsing with a level of comfort that surpasses Inmarsat connections to the web via ordinary Internet service providers (ISP).
Unlike normal Internet access services, users need not subscribe to an ISP. For just the cost of the communications charges, users can access the Internet from any ocean region that is covered by an Inmarsat satellite.
By introducing technology that delivers smoother and more responsive Internet access via Inmarsat, this service can contribute to shorter connection time and reduced communications charges.
Thanks to sophisticated image and text compression technologies, this service realizes high-speed display of web content.
