Virus-infected e-mails can cause great damage such as data file corruption and computer failure. In addition to the damage that occurs when receiving such e-mails, if you cause damage to your client by sending a virus-infected e-mail, you may significantly lose your client's confidence.

The number of reports on such damage caused by dangerous viruses is increasing each year, and it is said that approximately 80% of infections is via e-mails.

Our Data Centers detect and remove viruses before they enter your computer or servers. Therefore, your company's systems are protected against viruses included in e-mails.

Since our service checks viruses when both sending and receiving e-mails, it not only prevents your systems from "being damaged" by receiving virus-infected e-mails but also stops you from "causing damage" to those outside your company by sending virus-infected e-mails.

Since KDDI updates the virus check function based on the virus definition file provided by Symantec Corporation, our customers can safely use e-mail without the trouble of updating the function.

The virus check function is provided to customers using KDDI Hosting Service at a low price. Therefore, you can reduce costs compared to the case where you construct and operate this function using your own equipment.

P lease note that KDDI detects and removes only the viruses of which Symantec Corporation are aware and we may not be able to detect or remove all viruses in some cases.

We check whether a file attached to an e-mail being received is infected with a virus or not. When it is infected with a virus, we remove the virus. We delete the attached file when it is impossible to remove the virus.

We check whether a file attached to an e-mail to be sent is infected with a virus or not. When it is infected with a virus, we block the virus from being sent.

Customizing the "CyberMail" system offered by CyberSolutions Inc. for KDDI Hosting Service, we provide it as a web mail function.
This function enables the sending and receiving of e-mails using various mobile phones (EZweb, i-mode and Yahoo! Mobile) as well as your regular computer as long as an environment where browsers operate is provided.

All you have to do is access a URL designated for mobile phones. No troublesome mailer setup is required. You can start using this web mail option immediately.
