By connecting major Data Centers through fiber optics, Shibuya Data Center achieves a virtual data center environment, offering all KDDI line services ranging from low to high speeds. Your Internet connection and Intranet between companies are flexibly supported.
Shibuya Data Center guarantees power supply capability of 1 kVA/m² (2 kVA per rack) and uses UPS, in-house power generators and Japan's largest-capacity, central climate control system. Making use of know-how which KDDI has been accumulating as a type-1 telecommunications carrier, the Center provides reliable equipment such as two power feeding systems within the site, two solid communication routes, and a highly sensitive smoke detection system (VESDA).
The Center provides not only the colocation service for storing our customers' equipment but also a wide variety of high value-added services such as the Data Center Ethernet service, managed services, and online payment.
This site exclusively for data center application ensures seclusion from third parties, and security systems such as contactless IC cards and surveillance cameras are used. Furthermore, our specialized operational engineers are on duty 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to respond to customer requests at all times. In addition, other security devices can be set up individually according to customers' needs.
Shibuya Data Center is conveniently located at a site accessible on foot from JR Shibuya Station or Keio Inokashira Line Shinsen Station.
The large floor space is fully equipped with security systems and infrastructures with the industry's highest-level specifications in order to keep our valuable customers' equipment safe.
For customers who request the usage of rack space (1/4, 1/2, or 1 rack), Shibuya Data Center provides racks with high specifications that can be locked individually and have individual fans.
For customers who seek more advanced security, the Center provides a private space where racks are already surrounded by a cage.
In addition to two power feeding systems within the site and power monitoring for each circuit, the Center meets the demand for large-scale power by guaranteeing 2 kVA power supply per rack.
The Center is equipped with an in-house gas turbine power generator that can be continuously operated without fuel for 48 hours. Even if there is a problem in the commercial power supply, we make sure to supply power to your equipment.
The heat-dissipative and energy-efficient, high-capacity climate control system used for the Center is of the largest scale and has the most advanced capability in Japan, achieving optimum temperature and humidity control.
