When using this service, customers are required to select a necessary bandwidth for intra-zone and cross-zone communications (excluding the “nationwide uniform charge type”). Communications between locations in the same zone are considered as intra-zone communications, and communications between locations in different zones are considered as cross-zone communications and require the Ether-VPN relaying network.

For all customers who use the service, KDDI Ether-VPN stipulates the guaranteed performance level in terms of network delay time and availability, assuring the service quality.

We will refund part of the service fee to customers if the monthly average value of round-trip time delay for all Ether-VPN domestic backbones exceeds the standard value.

When conducting a traffic test, first check whether the mutual communication is available between test locations and then conduct the test bi-directionally.
In addition, when designating a recipient MAC address for the traffic test, be sure not to cause a broadcast in the Ethernet network.
(E.g.)
Do not use the broadcast MAC address“FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF”, the IPv4 multicast MAC address “01:00:5E:00:00:00-01:00:5E:7F:FF:FF”, and other special MAC address “00:00:00:00:00:00”.

Conducting tests using incorrect procedures may have a serious effect on the entire network.
When conducting a test using a line of 200 M or higher, contact our TSC (Technical Service Center: 0120-988-113) in advance.
