KDDI For Business: Ether-VPN

This type asks customers to select the specifications for cross-zone communications, and it has the following features.

	Advantageous if communications mainly occur within a zone
	Advantageous if the amount of cross-zone communications is large for each zone.

This type bundles cross-zone communications in advance and has the following features.

	Advantageous if locations are spread across in different zones.
	Advantageous if the amount of cross-zone communications is small in some zones.

*	“Zone selection type” and “nationwide uniform charge type” cannot be offered together within the same network.

KDDI Ether-VPN offers a wide variety of connectable access lines, meeting diversified connection needs.

1.	High-speed digital connection This is a connection option which uses the high-speed digital lines (HSD/DA, DE) provided by NTT East/West and utility NCC. Product speeds of 128 k, 512 k and 1.5 M are available.
2.	ATM exclusive line connection This is a connection option which uses the ATM exclusive lines provided by NTT East/West and regional NCC. It allows customers to set the lines in 1 M increments, ranging from 1 M to 120 M, so that they can use the connection speed that meets their needs.
3.	Mega Data Netz connection This is a connection option using Mega Data Netz provided by NTT East/West. Speed warranty service and partial warranty service are available. The product speed offered ranges from 0.5 M to 10 M.
4.	Ether Access This connection option uses KDDI’s own Ethernet line. The product speeds offered include 1 M-10 M (in 1 M increments), 20 M-100 M (in 10 M increments) and 200 M-1 G (in 100 M increments), allowing customers to use broadband lines at a low rate. This option is available in major cities, and we are expanding the service areas gradually.
5.	Metro Ether/Urban Ether connection This connection option uses Metro Ether/Urban Ether, the products of NTT. The connection speed is either 100 M or 1 G.
6.	Exclusive connection for utility NCC Ethernet This connection option uses the Ethernet services provided by HOTnet, TOHKnet, CTC, HTNet, K-Opticom, Energia Communications, STNet, QTNet, or OTNet. The connection speed is to be selected from 0.5 M, 1 M-10 M (in 1 M increments), 20 M-100 M (in 10 M increments), and 1 G.
7.	ADSL connection This is a connection option using ACCA’s ADSL line. The connection speed is 12 M. This line is the best-effort type with the maximum upstream speed of 12 M and downstream speed of 1 M.
8.	Data Center connection Ether-VPN can be used at 20 KDDI Data Centers across the country.
