By employing the MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) technology in our core technologies, we have realized a secure IP network which safely and securely transfers customers’ data. Customers need not prepare firewalls, and we assure FR which set up logical PVC and the high security typical of exclusive lines.
With KDDI IP-VPN, we have prepared connection packages for a wide variety of access lines. It’s possible for customers to freely select the access category, such as STM, ATM, MDN, ADSL, Ether Access, Flet’s Access, and line speeds of 64 Kbps to 1 Gbps, depending on their business needs and traffic amount.
We offer a variety of remote access services enabling customers to access the corporate Intranet at any time and from any place, whether SOHO office, home, a business trip location or travel destination. It realizes a ubiquitous network which is accessible by means of a variety of environments such as telephone line- and ISDN-based DOD connections, au-based CPA connections (max. 2.4 Mbps with CDMA 1X WIN (theoretical figure)), IRAS, which connects via the Internet using IPsec technology, round-the-clock 256 Kbps connectivity with PHS, au Browser Phone-based EZweblink, BREW®link, and SSL-VPN accessible from Web browser environments.

We provide a variety of ADSL- and fiber-optic line-based services which make broadband environments possible at a low cost. ADSL enables the use of ACCA, eAccess and Flet’s ADSL, and with fiber-optic lines we offer KDDI optical direct bundle lines, high-quality, highly reliable networks in major cities nationwide. This enables customers to use wide-area services at a low price and we make major contributions toward reducing customers’ costs.
We set up IPN-VPN exclusive line connection nodes in major cities worldwide and deliver full-mesh IP-VPN services both domestically and internationally. Remote access to domestic IP-VPN networks from overseas locations is also possible and we thoroughly support the construction of global networks for customers.
At KDDI we are one step ahead of the competition, having prepared packages which standardize SLA from the very moment that service begins. This establishes service levels and charges will be refunded if levels are not maintained. The three items of this agreement are as follows.
[Availability]
We guarantee that the backbone section will be usable at all times from the POI (point of interface) which houses the access circuit.
[Average network delay time]
We guarantee the average round-trip time delay within the network in domestic IP-VPN backbones.
[Recovery time]
We guarantee recovery within a fixed period of time if a KDDI domestic backbone network fails.
