Overview

Choose the transmission method best fitted to your needs.Access without worrying about connection times and data volumes

All-You-Can-Connect [1x]
Effective data transmission has been achieved by sending and receiving data divided up into packet units. Up to 32 kbps of data communications is possible.

All-You-Can-Connect [1x] is a complete flat rate system.

Whether mobile computing, or accessing from home or small office, there is no need to worry about connection times and data volumes.

All-You-Can-Connect [4x]
With an optional All-You-Can-Connect [1x] contract, up to 128 kbps of flat rate data communications is available.

All-You-Can-Connect [4x] is a complete flat rate system.

Enjoy even greater savings by combining it with the annual contract discount service[1].

[1]  The optional monthly charges for the 128 kbps plan are not covered by the annual contract discount service.

Net25
Smooth data communications are realized by maximizing the advantages of both the 1x packet system and the conventional 64 kbps line switching system (PIAFS 2.1)[2]. It is automatically switched between these systems according to the amount of data sent and received, while maintaining the connection. In addition to the 1x packet system, connection using the 4x packet system is also available.

"Net25" can be used 25 hours per month[3].

This effective mobile computing service is most suitable when you access every day for approximately an hour.

With "Net25 Time Share Service", the 25 hours of free calling time of "Net25" can be shared with those who are using the same communication line at the same billing address.

[2]  Line switching system (PIAFS 2.1): 32 k-64 kbps best-effort system.
[3]  In excess of 25 hours, the rate of 10 yen (10.5 yen including tax)/min will apply.

Pakekomi Net
This service is recommended for PDA users and those who send or receive light data.
The monthly flat-rate charges[4] cover communications of 200,000 packets (approx. 24.4 MB), and the 4x/1x packet system is available.

[4]  In excess of 200,000 packets, the rate of 0.03 yen (0.0315 yen including tax)/packet will apply based on the amount of data.

AIR-EDGE [PRO]
By making use of the 8x packet system, this service realizes a maximum throughput of 256 kbps.

The following plans are available:

AIR-EDGE [PRO] exclusive plan
All-You-Can-Connect [PRO]
Net25 [PRO]
Pakekomi Net [PRO]

Please see the Willcom website for details.

Willcom

Available throughout Willcom's nationwide service areas.

Since Willcom covers almost all regions throughout Japan, we can provide this service in a wide range of service areas. Connections are possible whether inside a building such as the station or the airport, in an underground shopping center or while moving at high speeds. Your can greatly expand your mobile locations.

Compatible Mobility and Security. Access the Corporate LAN from Anywhere in Japan!
PAS provides a closed network for each customer. Higher security is ensured since it does not use the Internet.

Outsourcing User Authentication to KDDI
User IDs are verified using RADIUS located within KDDI. Separate operations of RADIUS authentication by the customer is not required.
Also, with our “customer control service”, user IDs and passwords can be registered from home, and RADIUS account logs for connections can be viewed.

One-time password authentication service
Security can be enhanced with the one-time password authentication service.
The one-time password authentication function is essential for constructing remote access environments.

Other Services

Caller number authentication service
Caller numbers are verified using RADIUS located within KDDI.
The caller number authentication service is to be used in combination with the RADIUS authentication service.

Customer control service
Customers using RADIUS authentication service and caller number authentication service can register, change, or delete user IDs, passwords, and caller numbers with customer control from their home.
Also, RADIUS account logs for connections can be viewed.

* Cannot be used in combination with the one-time password authentication service.

Redundant access line section service
The section between the gateway GW router located within KDDI and the customer’s router can be made redundant.
By achieving redundancy using static routing, automatic switching is carried out when failure occurs.

Data compression service
Willcom's data compression service "MEGA PLUS (accelerated service V)" is available.
Data to be sent or recieved is compressed to improve the speeds felt by users when communcating over the Internet, such as browsing websites, sending/receiving e-mails, or downloading files.

* Only ISPs with global IP addresses can use the data compression service.

PAS accelerated service
This service improves the speeds felt by users of AIR-EDGE data transfer, by using an accelerated server installed in the PAS network by Willcom to optimize protocols and compress data.

* This service can only be used for private addresses in the POOL address system.

Access point authentication service
A unique ID number is registered at both the terminals and at the access points (APs) to determine whether connections will be allowed or not.
Connections are controlled by matching the ID registered to the terminals and the ID registered to APs at the time of such connections.
Please note that the actual amount billed may vary from the sum of the individual charges including tax because the tax payable is calculated from the sum of the individual charges excluding tax.
