Service name (NTT service name) |
Function overview |
Touch-tone signal |
It is offered free of charge as a standard service. As this service also accomodates dial pulse signals, it is unnecessary to change the settings of customers' terminal. |
Call-waiting |
When another person calls you when you are talking to someone, this service enables you to put the first caller on hold and answer the second call. |
Call-waiting display |
When a customer's telephone has a number display function, this service enables the telephone to display the telephone number of the second caller while the customer talks to the first caller.
The customer is required to also apply for the call-waiting and caller ID display services. |
Caller ID display (Number display) |
When a customer's telephone has a number display function, this service enables the telephone to display callers' telephone numbers. |
Caller ID request (Number display request) |
This service sends a message to callers who do not notify their phone numbers, asking them to call again after notifying their phone numbers. Subscription to the caller ID display service is also required. |
Incoming call rejection |
This service prevents pre-registered telephone numbers from being connected to Metal Plus subscribers. |
Junk call blocking (Junk call blocking service) |
By registering junk calls' telephone numbers immediately after the calls using your telephone, this service blocks calls from the same numbers. |
Switchboard |
When there are calls to a switchboard number, this service connects the calls to an unused line. It is possible to set up a switchboard only for a group of lines installed at the same place. |
Dial-in |
When there is a call, this function enables the pre-established number information to be sent to customer's PBX. PBX at customers' location decides the extension number to be connected based on this information. As signaling methods for dial-in, there are PB and modem, which can be selected according to the customer's PBX system. |
Call forwarding service |
This service transfers a call to your office to a different telephone number, such as a mobile phone number. You can select from either "unconditional transfer", "busy transfer" and "scheduled transfer" accodring to the purposes of your usage. A contract is made per telephone number (applicable to dial-in numbers). |
Basic number notification /Free Call number notification |
This function changes the telephone number to be notified to the call destination. Customers can notify pre-registered numbers when making calls. Two types of services, "Basic number notification" and "Free Call number notification", can be used.
Contract unit: switchboards, or groups of lines with dial-in contracts

For Free Call number notification, it is also possible to sign a contract in units of single Metal Plus lines. |

BRI additional number service (i-number) |
This service is equivalent to the "i-number" service provided by NTT East and NTT West. This service is available only for BRI single lines. Including the current telephone number, customers can use two or three telephone numbers. However, even though a maximum of three numbers are available, simultaneous calls are limited to two channels (2B). To use this service, customers need terminal equipment, such as a terminal adapter compatible with "i-number" of NTT East and NTT West.
