Calls can be made to subscribed telephones at 8 yen (8.4 yen including tax[2]) per 3 minutes across the country. Calls to mobile phones are 17.5 yen (18.375 yen including tax)/minute, and calls to au phones are 17 yen (17.85 yen including tax)/minute. Furthermore, for a monthly fixed rate of 1,000 yen (1,050 yen including tax) per line, calls to "KDDI Metal Plus" subscribers are free of charge[3]. The fixed rate for BRI is 2,000 yen since it enables two-channel communications using a single line.

This telephone service uses KDDI's unique high quality IP networks. It achieves call quality and stability comparable to conventional phones and enables emergency calls such as 110 and 119.

Customers can continue to use their current telephone numbers, assuring number portability. Dial-in numbers can remain the same. There is no need to reprint business cards.

KDDI sends a bill integrating the telephone basic charges and call charges.
