Reduction of rental fee of au Mobile Express, a mobile phone rental service for overseas travelers

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular Telephone will reduce rental fees of au Mobile Express, a mobile phone rental service for overseas travelers to 540 yen per day (for a period of 1 to 30 days) or by 40% or less beginning in August 1st. au Mobile Express has been provided under a partnership with KCOM Corporation (Head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Toshiyuki Akutsu) since October 2002.

au Mobile Express is a mobile phone rental service for communication needs in 100 regions and territories including the European countries that are not covered by GLOBAL PASSPORT, the international roaming service.

Local support bases in Europe (Germany), Asia (China, Korea, Singapore) and the U.S. (New York) have been set up, and users are able to make queries about the service at these travel destinations in Japanese.

Along with the fee reduction of GLOBAL PASSPORT planned for August 1st, mobile phone service overseas will be more convenient.
