KDDI Announces New Fixed to Mobile Phone Service at Lower Rates
KDDI Corporation is pleased to announce a new service providing discount rates for calls from home (fixed) telephones to mobile phones at lower rates, available by dialing the provider recognition number 0077 from April 1 2004. The new rates, available from April 1, are applied as a relay telephone service provider. Customers subscribing to other KDDI discount services can enjoy the new service by a further 5% (51 yen for a 3 minute call) in June. With this new discount service, KDDI continues to offer customers newer and better services at ever lower rates.

Customers are able to enjoy the service, with its lower rates, easily and conveniently. Callers from fixed lines simply dial "0077", KDDI's service provider recognition number, followed by the mobile phone number they require. Customers currently subscribing to "My Line" and "My Line Plus" can enjoy the lower rate simply by dialing "0077" followed by mobile phone number of the person whom they want to call. For added convenience, the service can be used anytime without former application.
This new service is available from the telephones (terminals) of subscribers of NTT East Japan, NTT West, and ISDN networks (not including public or "pink" telephones.) The service applies for all mobile telephones (not including PHS or numbers in the 070 category.) Remote control Telephones answering service offered by each mobile phone provider and satellite ship telephones are not applied this service.

Fixed telephone customers currently enrolled in the following services will enjoy a further 5% discount for phone calls to au mobile phones. The special discount will automatically apply to invoices from June: "Danzen Talk II DX", "Danzen Talk", "Danzen Hiruwari (Daytime discount) 2", "Kakedoku Pack 2", "Maru Toku Discount Wide", "Maru Toku Discount Light", "Maru Toku Discount Light 2", "Maru Toku Discount Frat".
