KDDI Releases Latest Model in New 3G Lineup; A5507SA Mere 20 mm Thick, Includes QVGA High-precision LCD Screen with FLASH

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular are pleased to announce the release of the A5507SA, manufactured by Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd., as part of their new 3G cellular telephone (CDMA 1X) lineup in early December of this year.
The A5507SA has a simple, functional style with built-in antenna, and a compact body a mere 20 mm thick. The main menu and content variety can be enjoyed with particular clarity and richness through the 2.1inch QVGA high-precision LCD screen and FLASH™ compatibility.
"Pair functionality"—allowing easy telephone and email with those you wish to contact frequently—has been upgraded, enabling registration of up to 5 individuals. In addition, the phone is equipped with "Junior mode", incorporating a variety of limited functions so that children may use cellular telephones enjoyably and safely, as well as "Smart mode", with its simple and easy-to-understand display.
Bar code (QR code) reading functionality is also built-in, so the "EZ Navi Walk" navigation function can be used with ease—without the need to type in addresses or position information—by importing map data.
