KDDI EZ "Chaku-uta Full™" Downloads Exceed 1 Million

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular are pleased to announce that cumulative downloads from their EZ "Chaku-uta Full™" service, a music distribution service for au mobile phones, have exceeded 1 million on January 5, 2005. The EZ "Chaku-uta Full™" service began on November 19, 2004.
EZ "Chaku-uta Full™" is a music download service which allows users to download an artist's individual songs in entirety directly to their mobile phone. With the "CDMA 1X WIN" 2.4 Mbps transmission speed and the "Double Flat Rate" fixed-rate packet data service, users can freely download their favorite music whenever and wherever they like, stress-free and with no concern for communications charges.
Seven websites support EZ "Chaku-uta Full™", with a total catalog of 10,000 songs. Currently, W21CA (Casio), W21T (Toshiba), W22SA (Sanyo), and W22H (Hitachi), handsets support EZ "Chaku-uta Full™", but all new "CDMA 1X WIN" mobile phone models will be equipped to enjoy the service. As of the end of December, 2004, subscriptions for au mobile phones supporting EZ "Chaku-uta Full™" reached 410,000 units.
KDDI is also pleased to announce that cumulative downloads from the EZ "Chaku-uta®" service for au mobile phones exceeded 160 million at the end of December, 2004. The EZ "Chaku-uta®" service, which began on December 2, 2002, is available for all au mobile phones currently sold.
