KDDI Announces "Aichi Expo Navi," an Exclusive Menu of EZ Navi Walk Service for EXPO 2005 AICHI

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular are pleased to announce the March 25th launch of "Aichi Expo Navi," an exclusive menu for the EXPO 2005 AICHI, as an addition to the EZ Navi Walk service. Aichi Expo Navi will include such capabilities as "Pavilion Info & Navi," which gives a description of each pavilion, a map display, and voice guidance, "Getting There Navi," which provides optimal routes to the venue, and "Getting Back Navi," which provides routes away from the venue.
Pavilion Info & Navi, as well as ordinary public transport, will provide route navigation for IMTS (Intelligent Multimode Transit System), the special-purpose transport within the venue, which includes gondolas and fuel-cell buses Getting There Navi will also cover linear motor transport and shuttle buses. Using Aichi Expo Navi, customers will be able to enjoy a more comfortable experience, from getting to the Expo and back, to viewing the exhibits.
Aichi Expo Navi was achieved through navigation capability scaling by Navitime Japan Co., Ltd., which developed EZ Navi Walk, and provision by Shobunsha Publications, Inc. of network data needed by pedestrians when route searching. Aichi Expo Navi is also integrated with the EXPO 2005 AICHI's official FM station, FM LOVEARTH. Using the EZ FM service, customers can not only check details of Expo events that are currently being aired, but also immediately utilize navigation to the locations featured.
To use Aichi Expo Navi, customers need to register as users of the EZ Navi Walk service and pay a usage fee. However, the usage fee will be waived for a trial period of one month from March 25 (Fri) to April 24 (Sun).

Entire A5500 series, talby, Sweets, PENCK, W20/W30 series (except W21H, W21K). The A5503SA and A5505SA will not provide navigation integrated with EZ FM appli and On-Air Check appli. Use of EZ Navi Walk while listening to the radio with the cell-phone is possible with FM tuner handsets, except for A5503SA, A5505SA, and W21SA.

To use Aichi Expo Navi, customers need to register as users of the EZ Navi Walk service and pay a usage fee. EZ Navi Walk Lite service fees are 95 yen/24 hours (inc. tax), Monthly fees are 210 yen/month (inc. tax) or 315 yen/month (inc. tax).
