KDDI Announces "Double Flat Light" — Monthly Fixed Fee Plans Starting at 1,000 Yen

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular are pleased to announce new "Double Flat Light" fixed fee packet communications plans. Starting at only 1,000 yen per month (1,050 yen including tax), the new fee plans were designed in an effort to provide rich content only available with 3G services in the CDMA 1X WIN format to an even greater number of customers who would like to enjoy these services easily and safely. The new plans will be available from May 1, 2005.
Previous CDMA 1X WIN monthly plans started at 2,000 yen (2,100 yen including tax), with the standard Double Flat service, enabling users to access EZweb Internet service and email freely, priced at 4,200 yen per month (4,410 yen including tax).
"Double Flat Light" provides for changes in Packet Discount WIN conditions to broaden the number of customers who may wish to use a fixed fee plan. "Double Fixed Light" users will now be able to enjoy up to 12,500 packets monthly at a fixed fee of 1,000 yen per month (1,050 yen including tax), while the 4,200 yen per month (4,410 yen including tax) will enable users to freely use any amount over 52,500 packets.
