au (nationwide unified branded name for DDI-Cellular Groups and IDO CORPORATION) will start to provide "@mail", a service with highly enhanced e-mail functions in "EZweb", allows cellular-phone users to access to the Internet, from November 1, 2000 (scheduled).
"@mail" is the service with improved availability of e-mail functions of "EZweb" currently in service. This service is reinforced such various functions as to save e-mails in cellular-phones, to send and receive e-mails with attached files or e-mails with up to 5,000 two-byte characters (the largest volume in the mobile market). Additionally, au will release "@mail" compatible new cdmaOneTM cellular-phones, 4 models of "C4XX" series this November. All the models of "C4XX" series will be loaded with color LCDs.
