Outline of KDDI "SHINAI LONG" and "SHINAI WIDE" Discount Phone Services
1) SHINAI LONG
For a monthly fee of 200 yen, the KDDI SHINAI LONG Service allows customers to make phone calls within their "local call area" that are two-thirds longer under the same basic call rate. Under the discount service, calls made during late-night or early-morning hours that cost the basic unit rate of 8.8 yen will be extended to 7 minutes. This service is most suitable for frequent and extended use customers, and for those who connect to the Internet through a local access point.
2) SHINAI WIDE
Subscribers to the SHINAI WIDE service (100 yen monthly fee) are eligible for discounts for calls made to adjacent areas and within a 20-kilometer radius. Phone calls within this area will be discounted 56%, and this service is most appropriate for customers who make relatively short-distance phone calls to areas not within their defined "local area".
