From corporate product introductions and business explanations broadcast through websites, to entertainment and news, internet streaming has proliferated rapidly recently. With more and more people accessing the internet and the spread of broadband connections, streaming is set to be an ever-present factor in IT in years to come.

For users broadcasting pictures and music, KDDI's streaming service provides receivers with a platform that provides real time playback capabilities over the internet. The streaming service will be better for internet users since it is much quicker to use streaming than to download and save data on a hard disk.

The service will be accessible for all levels as KDDI will offer entry menus for first time users and more technical menus for content providers, and in conjunction with the DION high capacity backbone becomes an effective and reliable high capacity transmission service.

KDDI will also deploy various e-business platforms in addition to the streaming service to deliver contents required by both content providers and Internet users.

1. Service Contents

1. On-demand service
	The on-demand service produces an internet streamed feed on demand from users. Contents such as product information, or IR-related information can be stored on our servers and can then be streamed out when required. We will be offering two types of services; an entry type for light users and a standard type for contents providers, etc.

2. Live service
	The live service offers customers real-time content. The live service can be used for the live broadcast of entertainment events, company product releases and seminars. KDDI will broadcast live the stage production 'Lumine the Yoshimoto' produced by Fandango, Inc and jointly presented by Yoshimoto Kogyo Co.,ltd. and KDDI.

3. Options
	There are a number of additional customer support options available, such as extra disk space and internet connection capacity, limited access provision, and contents encoding.
