Tokyo, August 8, 2001 - KDDI Corp. announced that two of its subsidiaries, KDD Network Systems Co., (KDD-NS) and TELECOMET International Inc., (TII) today signed an agreement to merge their operations from October 1, 2001.
By merging the solutions operations that were developed separately by KDD-NS and TII, the KDDI group strengthens its own solutions services. The KDDI group will now be able to provide planning, development, equipment, and sales and support of communications infrastructure and systems, as well as related power and air conditioning services to a wide range of industries.
KDD-NS itself will remain an existing company after being merged with TII.
