KDD and Telecomet International in Hong Kong and Singapore to Integrate
1997-009February 25, 1997

With deregulation occurring in Asia from now on and with a view therefore to expand our business activities and strengthen our customer support, KDD will be integrating its own business activities and those of its subsidiary, Telecomet International, in Hong Kong and Singapore as "KDD Telecomet Hong Kong Ltd." and "KDD Telecomet Singapore Pte. Ltd." The combined operations will start on March 1, 1997.

In Hong Kong, KDD Hong Kong Ltd. had been in charge of network service consulting, and Telecomet International Hong Kong Limited had been overseeing the procurement of communications equipment and maintenance services. In Singapore, the situation was similar to Hong Kong, with KDD Singapore Representative Office and Telecomet International Pte. Ltd. Singapore performing these respective activities.

With the integration of these offices in both locations, a total support system from the procurement of communications equipment to the provision of network services will be established, improving convenience to customers while also enabling the new companies to engage more actively in new businesses as the liberalization of telecommunications in both locations continues.

KDD and Telecomet currently maintain offices in 28 cities of 21 countries and regions overseas, and this global network will continue to grow in order to provide greater support for our customers.
