KDD to Make Organizational Changes to Marketing & Sales Headquarters

KDD (Japan's Global Communications) will make the following organizational changes to its Marketing & Sales Headquarters to prepare for the entry into the domestic telecommunication market and to pursue more effective and efficient marketing activities. The changes will be effective as of March 3.

1. Creation of "Sales Promotion Department"
Marketing activities catering to retail customers and those catering to specific regions will be integrated to create Sales Promotion Department, which will be in charge of serving both retail and business customers.

2. Creation of "Sales Development Department"
Sales Development Department will boost marketing activities and agency marketing catering to telecommunication carriers including resellers.

3. Creation of "Marketing and Sales Planning Department"
Marketing and Sales Planning Department will assume a full range of responsibilities from market research and analysis to the development of basic marketing policies to promote more effective and efficient marketing activities.

4. Creation of "Office of Sales Development, Domestic Services"
"Office of Sales Development, Domestic Services" will be created inside Marketing and Sales Planning Department to conduct domestic telecommunication service research and establish marketing policies, sales systems, and other domestic marketing systems in preparation for KDD's entry into the domestic telecommunications market.

5. Reinforcement of marketing activities fined tuned to local needs
Marketing coordination duties will be removed from Area Marketing & Sales Department and other units to create Central Tokyo Office, Eastern Tokyo Regional Office, Western Tokyo Regional Office, and Greater Metropolitan Office to integrate the marketing activities of Kanto Koshientsu region and fine tune marketing activities to the needs of the region.
