These usage guidelines for prepaid cards (hereinafter referred to as "Usage Guidelines") are applied to the terms and conditions related to the use and sales of type 1 and type 2 prepaid cards (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Prepaid Cards") sold by KDDI Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "KDDI"), based on Article 115 Separate Paragraph 20 ("Sales of Prepaid Cards") of the Contract Provisions for Telephone and Other Services (hereinafter referred to as "Terms of Operation") as established by KDDI.

| | |
| 1. |
Items not established under these Usage Guidelines will be established by the Terms of Operation, Contract Provisions for Maritime Satellite Communications Service, or Contract Provisions for Portable Mobile Satellite Communications Service (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Contract Provisions, etc. for Telephone and Other Services"). |
| 2. |
KDDI may make amendments to these Usage Guidelines. In such instances, usage and sales of Prepaid Cards shall be subject to the Usage Guidelines established after the amendments. |

Definitions of terms used within these Usage Guidelines, with the exception of terms defined within these Usage Guidelines, will be defined according to the definitions for terms in the Contract Provisions, etc. for Telephone and Other Services.

Phone calls and other services using Prepaid Cards may be restricted due to the types of terminal equipment used or for other reasons.

KDDI, with respect to type 2 prepaid cards, establishes an expiration date within which prepaid automatic calls, etc., provided by KDDI may be used with the prepaid card. In the event that this expiration date is exceeded, the prepaid card may no longer be used.

KDDI does not offer exchanges for Prepaid Cards. However, if a request is made from the holder of a type 2 prepaid card that has exceeded its expiration date as provided in the previous article (Expiration Date), within a three-year period from the day following the expiration date, KDDI will exchange the expired card for a type 2 prepaid card of the same value that is being sold at the time such a request is made, by a method and place designated by KDDI.

| 1. |
Users or holders of Prepaid Cards shall take responsibility for safeguarding the Prepaid Cards and the numbers of the Prepaid Cards. KDDI shall assume no responsibility for loss of Prepaid Cards or Prepaid Card Numbers, disclosure of Prepaid Card Numbers to a third party, or the results of any unauthorized use by a third party. |
| 2. |
KDDI, in cases where there is a suspicion of misuse of the Prepaid Cards it sells, will immediately cancel use of such Prepaid Cards, or take measures to invalidate the cards. |

Under no circumstances will KDDI exchange Prepaid Cards for cash.

| 1. |
KDDI does not offer reissue or refunds for Prepaid Cards. However, in the event that, for reasons attributable to KDDI, data for the remaining balance of the Prepaid Card as recorded in the Prepaid Card or in KDDI's switching systems is lost or damaged, then such reissue or refund will be considered. |
| 2. |
Under no circumstances will KDDI answer any inquiries about Prepaid Card Numbers. |
