● 2002年3月1日から、シンガポールの固定電話の電話番号が7桁から8桁に変更されます。現在の電話番号7桁の前に「6」を追加しダイヤルして下さい。 As from 1 March 2002,the existing 7 digits number will be migrated to 8 digits number　by adding digit "6" at the beginning of the existing numbers in Singapore.

＜注＞以下の新旧番号併用期間、音声アナウンス期間の情報を訂正いたしました（下線部）。 Information about permissive dialing period and announcement period was revised (underline).
*	新旧番号併用期間:2002年3月1日〜2002年8月31日 Permissive dialing period: 1 March 2002 -31 August 2002.
*	併用期間後は、8桁におかけなおしいただくよう、音声アナウンスが流れます。 After the parallel access period ,calls to 7-digit numbers will be routed to machine announcement, asking callers to dial the new 8-disit number before the call gets disconnected.
*	音声アナウンス期間:2002年9月1日から2003年2月末までの6ヶ月間 The announcement period would last for 6 months (from 1 September 2002 to end Feb 2003).
*	2003年3月1日以降、海外から7桁番号をかけた場合は接続されません。 Starting 1 March 2003,overseas callers who dial such 7-digit numbers will hear a service unavailable tone.
*	"1"で始まる番号や、8桁の携帯電話・ポケットベル番号は、変更対象外です。 Numbers with leading digit"1",and 8-disit mobile and pager numbers are not affected.
