KDDI to Discontinue Content-payment Services of 'KDDI Super World Card PLUS TEXT' and 'KDDI Super World Card @ca' Services

KDDI has announced that 'KDDI Super World Card PLUS TEXT' and 'KDDI Super World Card @ca' content-payment services will be discontinued on September 30, 2008 due to decreasing demand. International and domestic telephone services offered with these two services will still be available, and there will be no changes to the 'KDDI Super World Card' service.

'KDDI Super World Card' is a pre-paid calling card for domestic and international telephone calls that can be used by entering the card number on the phone. This service is available by using with fixed-line, public, mobile or PHS phones.

'KDDI Super World Card PLUS TEXT' is a KDDI Super World Card with an added feature to make payments for the 'Super TEXT' overseas short-messaging service provided by Indigo K.K. The 'Super TEXT' service provides transmission of short messages between au and various other mobile phones in Japan including au and overseas mobile phones. Even after October 2008, the Indigo short messaging service will still be available using other payment methods.

'KDDI Super World Card @ca' is a KDDI Super World Card with an added feature to make payments for Internet shopping.
