KDDI Announces Opening of KDDI India Chennai Office

KDDI India Private Limited (KDDI India), the local overseas subsidiary of KDDI whose headquarters are located in New Delhi, will open KDDI India Private Limited Chennai Branch, its fourth office in India, on May 27, 2009. This will bring the total number of KDDI overseas offices to 62, which are located in 23 areas and 49 cities throughout the world.

Located in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, Chennai has activity attracted foreign companies to its industrial park, and growth in the number of Japanese automobile, electronics, and IT companies that have set up operations in the area is accelerating. The company's customers, Japanese companies, face various problems when establishing a factory or office, and these problems included coordinating between and negotiating with multiple local communications carriers and IT vendors, ensuring the communication quality, and handling problems when building an ICT environment.

Establishing the Chennai Branch will make it possible to solve customer's various local ICT related problems and to provide more detailed and rapid services including building networks, such as the 'Overseas Area Network Managed Package', proposing data center services, and providing both technical support related to opening bases and subsequent after services.

KDDI India has offices in New Deli, Mumbai, and Bangalore, and with the opening of the Chennai Branch, KDDI India is present in all the main areas within India were Japanese corporations are located.

KDDI considers customer providing support in the ICT field its most important role and plans to expand and improve is global activity bases.
