KDDI Corporation and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company today announced the launch of IS03, the first smartphone to support "Osaifu-Keitai®" function. Also equipped with a one-segment TV broadcasting device, the Android smartphone suits the demand of customers to be used as the main handset. The terminal is to be released after November, 2010.

IS03's 3.5-inch double VGA display offers high-resolution images, and customers can enjoy swift and easy usage of the Internet with its multi-touch function. IS03 offers various other features that are common with Japanese handsets and received high acclaim from customers with IS01, including one-segment broadcasting, infrared light communication and mobile phone e-mail service (@ezweb.ne.jp). Moreover, IS03 is au's first smartphone to support "Osaifu-Keitai®" mobile wallet, providing pleasant and satisfying experiences to even customers accustomed with conventional au handsets.

Powered by Android Operating System 2.1, IS03 supports multi-touch and live wallpaper features. By adopting Flash Lite 4.0, IS03 also supports Flash contents on the web.
