KDDI Corporation
Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company

October 18, 2010

KDDI Corporation and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company today announced to release "biblio Leaf SP02," an e-book reader specialized in downloading, storing and reading e-books, after late December, 2010.

"biblio Leaf SP02" can download e-books using CDMA 1X WIN and Wi-Fi communication to store and read e-books anywhere you carry the terminal. With about 2 gigabyte memory, the terminal can store about 2,000 books (provisional). Because of its compact size, equivalent to B6 paper often used in Japanese comic books and 9.6 millimeter in thickness (provisional), users can bring it anywhere they go. It also adopts approximately six-inch electronic paper suited for reading, allowing long-time usage of the display.

Distribution of e-books is planned to start simultaneously with the release of "biblio Leaf SP02." Details of the distribution service are to be announced at a separate occasion.

"biblio Leaf SP02" will be displayed at KDDI Designing Studio (Harajuku, Tokyo) from Tuesday, October 19, 2010.
