KDD Australia Inaugurates its Telecommunications Business

KDD Australia Pty. Ltd. (President: Masanori Egi, Main Office: Sydney), a 100% subsidiary of KDD, which has been in preparation for entering into Australiaユs information and telecommunications market since its establishment in April 1998, today started its business with "Globridge," an International Leased Circuit Service with six other KDD Group companies including KDD. The service is available for six countries: Japan, the U.S.A, the U.K., Germany, France and Hong Kong.

The service commencement is a part of the "KDD Global Network" project which is developed by joint efforts of KDD and its affiliated companies in major overseas markets. KDD Australia will further expand its business by adding International Telephone Services and other varied telecommunications services available among KDD Group companies to meet diversified needs of its customers in Australia.

[Globridge]
An international leased circuit service which provides customers with capacity over the backbone network made up of international circuits linking the access nodes installed by respective overseas KDD Group companies. The service is available at lower costs compared with similar services of local providers, with integrated support by KDD Group companies in respective countries to facilitate installation, operation and maintenance of customersユ global networks. One-stop ordering and one-stop billing are also available across multiple countries.
Globridge has covered the U.S.A., the U.K., Germany, France, Hong Kong and Singapore, with gaining high reputation, and is now available in seven countries as a result of KDD Australia's joining this time.
