KDDI Open Innovation Fund III Invests in Mobility Technology Company WhereIsMyTransport

KDDI invested in WhereIsMyTransport Ltd. .(Headquarters: London, UK; CEO: Devin de Vries; hereinafter "WhereIsMyTransport"), a mobility technology company based in London, through KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (operated by Global Brain Corporation; hereinafter "KOIF III") which aims to incubate new business co-creations with promising venture startups.
WhereIsMyTransport provides custom-built public transportation data sources for megacities in emerging countries. This current round of financing will be used to add network data for all forms of public transportation in Bangkok, Mexico City, Lima, Dhaka, and Gauteng as part of the company's plan to further advance its offerings of mobility data including the mapping of more than 30 megacities in emerging countries by 2023.
Through this investment, KDDI will explore business partnerships utilizing the unique data sources possessed by WhereIsMyTransport.

As "the company that customers feel closest to," KDDI will continue to promote business co-creation through investment in promising startup companies and create new business models together with customers and partners.
