Expansion of "GLOBAL PASSPORT" Area to Guam

1.Outline
The GLOBAL PASSPORT international roaming service enables au customers to use their Japanese mobile phone handsets overseas with the same phone number. The service requires no special application procedures or option fees, and is the only mobile phone service of its kind in Japan.

This service is already available in the Republic of Korea (SK Telecom), Hong Kong (Hutchison Telecom), the U.S. (Verizon Wireless), Australia (Telstra), Canada (TELUS Mobility), New Zealand (Telecom Mobile), and China (China United Telecommunications Corporation).

This new partnership in international roaming services with Guamcellular and Paging brings the number of operators offering these services to a total of eight (with services available in six countries). KDDI is currently preparing to offer services in cooperation with operators that have adopted CDMA in Brazil, Mexico, and other countries, and plans to expand the overseas au mobile phone service area further, thus taking a significant lead ahead of services offered by other companies.
