KDDI and Okinawa Cellular to Offer New Ring Tone Service "CHAKU-UTA" and Two New Movie Mobile Handsets with Digital Camera and the Ring Tone Capability

Tokyo, November 18, 2002 -- KDDI Corp. and Okinawa Cellular, in cooperation with Label mobile Inc.(an operator of mobile phone content sites) will provide the industry's first Ring Tone service "CHAKU-UTA", which allows users to download songs in their original format as released by music distributors, and to set these songs as the ringer tone on mobile phones.

The two companies will also expand on the Photo Mail function, with plans to start a new service that enables users to enjoy videos captured using Movie Mail handsets even on non-Movie Mail handsets and other manufacturers' mobile phones.

This will bring the total number of MOVIE KEITAI handsets with built-in cameras to three, including the A5301T, which was released in September. The two companies now offer a total of fourteen CDMA200 1x mobile phone handsets.
