KDDI Establishes a Local Subsidiary in India

KDDI Corporation is pleased to announce that it will establish a local subsidiary in the Republic of India. KDDI India Private Limited ("KDDI India"), the new subsidiary, will be established through 100% investment by KDDI Singapore, a subsidiary of KDDI.

In India, KDDI formed an alliance with local partner Indo-Fuji Information Technology Pvt. LTD. in January 2004. Since then, as well as supporting Japanese customers, KDDI opened an office of KDDI Singapore in Delhi, in July 2006.

KDDI has now decided to establish a local subsidiary in India. Its purpose is to meet customers' needs for all kinds of communications, as even more Japanese companies enter the Indian market and their businesses grow. Through this means, KDDI will further reinforce its arrangements for providing a broad range of solution services, from consulting on network construction to operation and maintenance.

Looking ahead, KDDI plans to expand its activity centers, whose primary task is to support customers in the fields of communications and IT.
