Amendments to Consolidated Business Results for Fiscal Year Ending March 2000 (April 1999 - March 2000)

The whole term consolidated business estimates for the fiscal year ending March 2000 (April 1, 1999 - March 31, 2000) are amended as follows:

(2) Reasons for amendments

The previous whole term business estimates for the fiscal year ending March 2000 are amended from sales of 580,000 million yen, ordinary income of 7,000 million yen, and net income of 3,000 million to 616,000 million yen, 11,000 million, and 1,000 million yen, respectively. These amendments are made to reflect an increase in sales and ordinary income of the company submitting the consolidated financial statements (this Company) based on its amended business estimates as well as some adverse circumstances in KDD-SCS, a KDD's consolidated subsidiary, such as increase of costs resulted from an unexpected delay in some of cable laying work and the higher yen exchange rate than anticipated.
