KDDI Invests in NordicNinja Fund II, a Venture Fund Targeting Northern Europe

KDDI Corporation invested (hereinafter, "this investment") in NordicNinja Fund II SCSp [Jump to the applicable section2] (hereinafter, "this fund"), a venture investment fund focused on promising startup companies in the field of sustainability and digital technology in Northern Europe [Jump to the applicable section1].

This fund aims to promote strategic partnerships with startups for Japanese Corporations through investments in startups working on building digital infrastructure and promoting sustainable transformation, as well as providing financial returns from the investments in Northern European startups.

Under the company vision of "the creation of a society in which anyone can make their dreams a reality, by enhancing the power to connect," KDDI aims to solve social issues and create new value together with partners. Through this investment, support for business development and co-creation in Japan will be provided to startup companies that promote sustainable management in Northern Europe.

As "the company that customers feel closest to," KDDI will continue to promote business co-creation through investment in promising startup companies, and create new business models together with customers and partners.
