au Home Phone
This is the collective term used to refer to various fixed line services provided by KDDI. By combining one of these services with au mobile phone through the au Collective Talk plan, domestic calls between fixed lines as well as domestic calls between a mobile phone and a fixed line become free at all hours.
Fixed line services included in au Home Phone (excluding MYLINE)
- au HIKARI Phone service
This is a cost-saving service to allow users to enjoy the Internet, phone and TV at the same time, using optical lines.
With this service offering high quality and bargain price, there is no need to change the phone number and telephone equipment you are currently using.
- ADSL one phone service (in Japanese only)
Without NTT switching equipment, this phone service offers low-cost access using ADSL one provided by KDDI's own network.
No need to change the current phone number and telephone equipment even if you switched from NTT line.
- Metal-plus Phone
This is a service for customers who would like to use a phone without the Internet.
As calls can be made directly through KDDI's high-quality IP network, NTT's phone subscription right is not required.
- au one net KDDI-IP Phone
This is a voice communications service using the Internet. This new service features low calling rates. For instance, calls between au one net KDDI-IP Phone subscribers become free.
- Cable-plus Phone
This cost-saving service is offered through partnership between cable television companies and KDDI. No need to change the current phone number and telephone equipment. Besides, calls between Cable-plus Phone users as well as calls to J:COM PHONE Plus/J:COM PHONE users are free at all hours!
- Commufa Hikari (in Japanese only)
This convenient and cost-saving phone service can be used along with Commufa Hikari Internet as a set.
- J:COM PHONE Plus (In Japanese only)
This is a fixed line service provided through partnership between J:COM and KDDI. This service not only offers lower basic rates and calling charges, but also allows users to make calls between J:COM PHONE users as well as calls to J:COM PHONE/Cable-plus Phone users free of charge at all hours. If you combine this service with an au mobile phone, a further reasonable discount service becomes available.
Service area differs depending on services. au Home Phone may be unavailable in some regions.
About au Collective Talk
Domestic calls become free at all hours by using au mobile phone and au Home Phone as a set!!
If you use the "KDDI Collective Billing Service" and other applicable services, domestic calls from your "au Home Phone" (excluding MYLINE) to an au mobile phone as well as "au Home Phone" (excluding MYLINE) are free anytime 24 hours a day. Besides, if you subscribe to "au → My Home Discount", domestic calls from your au mobile phone to your home become free at all hours.
- NTT subscriber phones, such as KDDI's MYLINE, are not eligible for free calls. Please check applicable conditions on the "au Collective Talk" page for details.
