Among these efforts, biodiversity conservation is a key focus. We are actively working toward the following goals:

To realize Biodiversity conservation, the KDDI Group has established goals within the framework of the KDDI GREEN PLAN, focusing on both risk reduction and the creation of business opportunities.
To achieve these goals, the Group actively promotes internal initiatives and participates in external initiatives and organizations that align with its environmental vision.

KDDI launches immersive metaverse experience “Ina no Mori” to explore forest issues

Starting in June 2025, KDDI, in collaboration with Ina City in Nagano Prefecture, began offering the metaverse experience “Ina no Mori,” which uses the forests of Ina City as its theme.

By constructing communication infrastructure with consideration for the natural environment, the company successfully achieved coverage without compromising the mystical atmosphere of Yakushima’s primeval forest.
