CONCEPT

With our KDDI VISION 2030, KDDI aims to create a society in which anyone can make their dreams a reality by further enhancing our power to connect.
As we progress from 5G and beyond, communications will be further integrated into various aspects of society and form the basis of our lives and industries.
In order to communicate to the world of KDDI's strengths, which include our diverse business assets centered around communications, our connectedness, and our capacity for co-creation with other partners, we will be exhibiting at the world's largest mobile technology exhibition, MWC Barcelona 2024.
Under our exhibition theme, "Life Transformation: Enhancing the Power to Connect," we will be introducing our endeavors in the areas of: mobility, digital twin, AI, satellite communications, and data centers.
Through this opportunity, KDDI looks forward to meeting new partners and taking on challenges to co-create new businesses with them, as we aim to contribute to the creation of a society in which anyone can make their dreams a reality.

    INNOVATIVE OPTICAL AND WIRELESS NETWORK (IOWN) FOR THE EVOLUTION OF MOBILE NETWORKS

    IOWN Global Forum has been working to define Open All Photonics Networks (Open APN), which is an optical circuit-switched network that can be used for the closer integration of optical transport and radio access or disaggregated computing systems. In this session, IOWN Global Forum's technical leaders will present an overview of IOWN Global Forum's Open APN and explain how this new network will contribute to the evolution of radio access networks (RANs) and multi-access edge computing (MEC.)
