KDDI Open Innovation Fund III Makes Additional Investment in New Innovations Inc., Provider of OMO Solutions

KDDI made an additional investment in New Innovations Inc. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; CEO and CTO: Keito Nakao; hereinafter "New Innovations"), the operator of a business centered around OMO (Online Merges with Offline), through KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (operated by Global Brain Corporation; hereinafter "KOIF III"), which aims to incubate new business co-creations with promising venture startups.

New Innovations is a startup company that develops and provides hardware and software focusing on OMO solutions. To date, they have released products such as the "root C" smart coffee stand and the "Kakigori Maker" fully-automatic snow cone robot. The company has worked with major foreign and domestic companies in the food service and retail industries while striving to save labor, increase efficiency, and create new customer experiences. In conjunction with this round of financing, New Innovations newly announced the "Burger Cooker" fully-automatic hamburger cooking robot and the "Store Meister" solution with an integrated ordering kiosk terminal and cooking instruction system for stores as the company aims to further promote automation and labor-saving in the service industry.

Through this investment, KDDI will leverage its corporate customer base and partner network to support the business expansion of the automation and labor-saving solutions provided by New Innovations.
