KDDI Open Innovation Fund V Invests in SKY FARM―A Company That Achieves Facility DX through Its Real Commerce Platform

KDDI invested in SKY FARM, Inc. (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; CEO: Takuya Kimura; hereinafter "SKY FARM"), the provider of the "NEW PORT" real commerce platform specializing in facilities, through KDDI Open Innovation Fund V (operated by Global Brain Corporation; hereinafter "KOIF V"), which aims to incubate new business co-creations with promising venture startups.

The "NEW PORT" platform provided by SKY FARM enables the integrated construction and operation of various mobile ordering systems such as food court table orders, delivery, and takeout pre-orders, etc. The platform is not simply an ordering system but also improves the customer experience for an entire facility, streamlines tenant operations, and achieves consistent sales promotions and leasing utilizing purchasing data. Going forward, SKY FARM will expand the scope of NEW PORT to include commercial facilities, department stores, and even city centers to contribute to new customer experiences and operational innovations as a comprehensive solution for facility digital transformation (DX).

Through this investment, KDDI will utilize the assets of the KDDI Group to solve facility issues such as the population decline and labor shortage, create lively towns, and revitalize regions together with SKY FARM.
